GRWM: Be ready for everything with these confidence tips

Confidence is an essential skill in the 21st century. Without it, you can be buried among the crowd and under a mountain of self-doubt and “what-ifs.” Lucky for you, confidence is not something that you are just born with or a magic reserved for only a select few— it is something that can be learned and cultivated in time. Get ready with me with tips to begin your confidence journey!

1. Just do it.

Have you ever heard of the quote, “Believe you can, and you’re already halfway there.” Well, that’s how confidence works. It is not about being perfect or having all the answers, it is about showing up. Confidence is taking that first step, despite inadequacy and doubts, because you understand that your potential to achieve things is greater than your fear.

2. Practice fake it ‘til you make it.

Visualizing your goals is effective in manifesting your best life. Imagine yourself as the person you want to be — how do they speak, how do they talk, how do they dress— and start doing exactly just that. It might feel awkward at first, but the more you do it, the more natural it becomes. Example, your ideal self is an entrepreneur; then start wearing more formal outfits, have a neat hairstyle, and bring a hygiene kit and keep yourself neat-looking at all times. Bonus points for wearing a Jelli M1 mask to elevate your outfit and keep yourself safe.

3. Surround yourself with positivity.

Misery loves company but confidence thrives on positivity. The company that you keep can influence the way you think. So seek the right people who uplift and inspire you to be the best version of yourself— and be that person for others as well.

By adopting these mindset shifts in your everyday life, you are ready and on your way to becoming a more confident and empowered you. Remember, confidence is a journey, not a destination. Embrace the awkwardness, step out of your comfort zone, and just do it!
