Things to Pack When Going to a Convention

There are many fan conventions coming up soon, and you might be wondering what you need to do to prepare. Whether you’re a host, guest, or participant, going in cosplay or casual wear, here are things you should pack for a smoother, more enjoyable experience!

Important Documents
Bring your ticket or proof of registration, preferably with a physical copy. Have a valid ID since some conventions require them for verification. If you’re traveling through plane, train, or bus, keep your transportation tickets easily accessible to avoid hassle.

Comfortable Clothing
Even if you’re not staying in the area for long, it’s best to bring along some comfortable clothes and shoes. After all, being in cosplay for so long can get tiring. While convention venues are usually indoors, keep a hat, jacket, and mini fan ready to make it easier to move around.

The Jelli M1 Mask
You’ll be encountering a big crowd during conventions, making these events a high risk for disease transmission. Keep yourself protected with the Jelli M1 mask, which has a 2-way filtration system and vents for breathability. Its transparent feature makes your facial expressions visible and its chic design goes well with any cosplay or outfit!

Personal Care & Hygiene
Although this will mostly be applicable to those who will be staying for a while, it still won’t hurt to bring some personal items such as sanitizer, deodorant, sunscreen, wet wipes, and menstrual products if needed. Medicine and first-aid kit essentials are a must. Keep some extra Jelli M1 mask filters handy as well for refilling your mask vents!

Cosplay Essentials
Of course, you should have your costume, wig, and makeup for your convention fit. Aside from these, pack styling tools such as wig caps and hairspray in your suitcase. Small scissors, safety pins, and bobby pins might be needed for quick fixes during the event itself. If you’re planning to wear contacts, remember to bring some eyedrops!

Food and Hydration
A lot of things happen in conventions, and you may find yourself not having much time to take care of your needs. Bring some portable snacks such as granola bars and trail mix, and make sure you stay hydrated by bringing a water bottle.

Electronics and Storage
A phone will be important not just for communication but for taking photos, too! Even better if you have a camera and extra SD card, though it’s not necessary. Have a charger and power bank to prevent your battery from running out. Since there will be booths, bring an extra tote bag and a small wallet with cash for buying goodies. You won’t want to miss out on buying from your favorite artists!

Now, you’re convention-ready! Have fun, Jellifam!
