What to Include in Your Winter Morning Routine

What to Include in Your Winter Morning Routine

Have you ever struggled to get up from your warm, cozy bed during winter? We’ve all been there. The cold makes it tempting to rot in bed all day, but these tips can help you conquer that!

  • Get enough sleep

A great morning starts from the night before. Make sure you’re well-rested and get up as soon as your alarm rings.

  • Open your curtains and let natural light in

Getting your daily dose of Vitamin D is essential during winter when you can’t see the sun as often. It sets a positive mood and helps regulate your circadian rhythm.

  • Get moving

Warm up by stretching or doing yoga. If you prefer the outdoors, try jogging and bring a Jelli M1 mask for added protection!

  • Take a shower

A quick, warm shower is one of the easiest ways to feel refreshed in the morning.

  • Perform a skincare routine

While each skin has its own needs, always include a moisturizer in your routine as the cold can easily dry out your skin.

  • Eat breakfast

It’s not “the most important meal of the day” for nothing. Boost your energy with a warm drink like coffee or tea, and perhaps some toast or cereal.

  • Listen to your winter playlist

If you haven’t created one already, you totally should! Sing along as you do your routine or allocate time to simply vibe to the music.

  • Quiet time

Whether that’s journaling, meditating, or writing your daily to-do list, it helps to start the day with a clear mind.

  • Set up your space

Even if you’re not going to work inside, tidying up your space even just for 5 minutes can make you more focused.

  • Prepare your necessities

Make a checklist: extra warmers, water bottle, keys, and phone. If you’re planning to work outside, don’t forget your laptop or tablet and the Jelli M1 mask for comfort!

Ten steps may feel quite overwhelming, but remember that you don’t have to do everything on this list to have a great morning. Even one or two steps is a success! Those baby steps will add up to big progress, so take it one day at a time.
