2023 Trends — What to Expect?

2023 Trends — What to Expect?

Another year is here to surprise us with unexpected opportunities and challenges as time goes by. Others may feel excited, yet some may feel anxious. Personally, I can relate to the latter, but that’s enough about me. I know we are all wondering — what’s ahead of us for this new year? To answer that question, here are some 2023 trend predictions:

Food

Watch out, meat lovers! Datassential's 2023 Food Trends, says that 40% of consumers plan to purchase plant-based meat products in 2023. Interest in healthy alternatives is high and it will further grow. Dairy alternatives illustrate this as people choose it for health concerns, as well as ethical reasons.

Advocacy

Speaking of ethical reasons, environmental concerns are rising and people have found their strength to be heard. It’s not just about eating sustainably. Now, the new generation demands food from companies that are working to restore our planet through stricter animal welfare laws, fair labor practices, and the reduction of agricultural greenhouse emissions.

Social Media

TikTok’s explosive growth has even influenced the field of marketing. Various products have been promoted through Tiktok and those that are viral would immediately be sold out. TikTok’s impact is surely undeniable. With its other features that are inspired by other social media platforms, such as Tiktok stories, Tiktok shop, and 10-minute videos — it's no surprise that TikTok will eventually be a super app for 2023.

E-commerce

Social media platforms have an apparent role in the e-commerce landscape. According to the Future of Commerce “Gen Z, in particular, uses Tiktok for search and product recommendations – more than Google.” Social commerce is recognized as a crucial part of businesses since it contributes to the customer experience. Therefore, sales from social commerce are expected to grow this year.

These are some of the 2023 trend predictions that we have in store for you! Do you agree with these predictions or do you believe otherwise? What do you think are some trends for this year?
