FAQs
What is the Jelli M1?
The Jelli M1 is a transparent, anti-fog reusable face mask that's engineered in California for breathable and comfortable all-day use so you can let the world see your smile!
How often should the filters be replaced?
Effectiveness of the filters will depend on the severity of air pollution where you use your Jelli mask. Generally, the filter in your Jelli M1 mask lasts for up to 24 hours of breathing. Assuming you wear your mask for 3 hours a day, we recommend to change filters weekly.
Can I make my own filter?
Yes, you can make your own filter by inserting your material of choice, cut-out to fit the sides and chin of our mask.
How safe is the Jelli M1 Mask?
Safety is a major consideration in the development of the Jelli M1 and its filtration efficiency has been tested to perform at over 97% with 2-way filtration to protect yourself & those around you. The parts that touch your face are also made with a food grade polycarbonate. You can see our testing results here
How do I clean the Jell M1
We recommend cleaning the Jell M1 with gentle soap and water. Do remember to wash it gently so as not to scrub off the anti-fog coating on it.
Will there be more colors of the Jelli M1?
We launched with Midnight (black), Arctic (white) and Cherry (pink). Feel free to let us know what other colors you'd like to see and we'll check with other customers to see if it's something we can do.
Do the masks come in different sizes?
Right now, it only comes in one size for adults. A kids version is in the pipeline and should be available sometime 2022.
I backed this on Kickstarter and didn't realize that I had to pay import duties. What are my options if I don't want to pay them?
After our Kickstarter campaign we shipped hundreds of masks all over the world and weren't able to anticipate all of the local customs charges that would apply, based on each of the regions that our backers are based in. We mentioned this in our shipping policy and from February 2021 our local distribution capacity will help customers in some countries avoid these fees altogether. If you've received notification that your mask requires duties to be paid before it can be delivered and wish to ask for a refund, please email us at support@jellim.com with your order number and region details.
What is CNAS certification?
CNAS stands for China National Accreditation Service (www.cnas.org.cn). Our masks are certified to have passed conformity assessments for surgical masks (YY 0469-2011) and hygienic standards for disposable sanitary products (GB 15979-2002) under the T/CTCA 7-2019 requirement for general protective face masks, which is able to filter pollen, bacterial particulates, and to prevent exhaling pollutants from the mouth and nose. This certification also allows our mask to comply with legal requirements to export our masks globally.
