Top Emergency Supplies for Schools: Be Prepared for Anything

Starting a new school year can be pretty daunting for some because it takes a lot of preparation before you say that you’re actually ready. One of things that a lot of students might seem to forget about and/or struggle with is preparing emergency tools and items. More often than not, some students would actually think that they don’t experience any emergency in a school day because school clinics exist, which pretty much has all what’s needed to deal with different situations.

While it might be true to some extent, subscribing to these tools can immensely help you keep yourself safe, anytime, anywhere! With these, here are some of the basic emergency tools and items that every student must have!

  • First Aid Kit -  Students will always be prone to accidents, especially when doing activities that require supervision of adults. You can include the basic items like antiseptic solutions, band-aid, tweezers, and etc.
  • Emergency Contact List - Some emergency situations will require far more help than what first aid kits can offer. It’s best to assign a close family member(s) as your emergency contact to ensure quicker response whenever possible.
  • Water Bottle - Climate change is getting real as time goes by, and with how quick the world temperature rises, we expect an increased frequency on hotter days. Having a filled water bottle will allow us to hydrate ourselves and prevent our bodies from experiencing dehydration.
  • Mask - Catching unwanted diseases while you’re in school can be quite difficult, since you’re away from your home where you can easily grab something as possible remedies. But, the existence of masks dropped a big impact in disease prevention, even in the individual setup! The Jelli M1 mask is a great example of a good quality mask as it features an intricate filtering system that allows near 100% user protection due to its two-filtration system with a 99.7% filtration rate. Not only that, but it is also produced using food-grade polycarbonate material, which promises sustainability in the long run.
  • Whistle - Although it usually serves as a tool to alert people when an emergency happens and you can’t make a big noise to catch attention, this is an item that can also be used for school activities, making its purpose intentional!

Even though these tools and items can bring a lot to the table, it is still up to you whether you want to use them! If you tried using them and it unfortunately did not work out well for you, that is pretty normal. It takes quite a while for one to figure out which tools/system works the best for them, but regardless, it is still such a delight to see many tools that are already available for our own perusal!
